OpenLDAP Faq-O-Matic : OpenLDAP Software FAQ : Configuration : SLAPD Configuration : Access Control : How do I use the defaultaccess directive? | |
The defaultaccess directive is deprecated as of OpenLDAP 2.1.
Instead, use the access directive.
| |
In the absence of any access, non-rootdn access is granted based upon the value of the defaultaccess directive.
You can change the default access on a global or per-dabase basis using: defaultaccess <access>where <access> normally either read or none.
Note: if any access directive is defined, the default access becomes none.
