Kurt D. Zeilenga

Kurt is the Executive Director of the OpenLDAP Foundation and an Advisor to the OpenLDAP Project. He founded both in the summer in 1998. Kurt served as Chief Architect of the OpenLDAP Project from its inception to January 2007.

Kurt is currently employed by Isode Limited where he develops Internet technology and standards. He's currently working in the Extensible Messaging and Presence Protocol space.

Kurt is a participant in the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). He serves on the LDAP Directorate, Security Directorate, and Applications Area Directorate. He is authoring and/or editing a number of Internet-Drafts. A few of his drafts have become RFCs. He has served as co-chair of LDAPbis, SASL, and vCardDav working groups.

Kurt is a member of the XMPP Standards Foundation. Kurt is authoring a few XMPP Extension Protocol (XEP) specifications.
